Macaw Engineering Limited

Macaw Engineering is an engineering consultancy providing solutions to problems associated with the management, operation and integrity of pipeline systems. Macaw has extensive knowledge of pipeline corrosion mechanisms, materials, coatings, NDT methods, pressure vessels and welding procedures.

Based in Newcastle, the company was formed in 1996 by senior engineers from the former British Gas Engineering Research Station. Since that time, the company has expanded to over 20 consultants who have dealt with pipeline issues in nearly 40 countries.

Typical services include development of corrosion strategies, interpretation of pig data, defect assessment and implementation of integrity management systems for both onshore and offshore systems.
